Myspace Blog Tracking

Making a web site is simple now that Blogging has made its way on the Internet. In fact, if you are reading this right now, you are reading a blog. It takes about five minutes to have a blog up and running and it is free.

People can use a blog for many different reasons, for instance we use a blog as a method to inform parents with effective methods with regards to protecting their children online. Others may use it so they can meet new people and make a date, and then there are some that use a blog to post their deepest and most personal thoughts and feelings.

Children widely use a blog for the purpose of an online journal.

We can all remember what a diary meant to us when we were children. We used to keep it so secretive that it was under lock and key from parents.

Now that time has changed and everything is digitally involved to a certain extent, children use the internet as a place to post just about anything that comes to mind.

It is one thing to blog a journal, but it is another to provide personal information for everyone to see.

Think about it for one second, if a child has an online diary and they are posting their likes, dislikes, who they are and where they live there is an immediate danger that is present.

Example:

Lets say that your daughter has a blog on myspace and she has been posting about how she likes Johnny from Science class. She even talks about how she would like to talk to him about how she feels, but she is afraid to make the first move.

This is online for anyone to see.

Now lets say that that journal entry is read by an internet predator. The Internet predator decides to become a member of Myspace.com and starts to read your daughters entire blog. Finally after calculating his moves carefully, he decides to have a Myspace chat conversation with your daughter.

He tells her that he is Johnny (the one she really likes) and that he like her too and he wants to meet her in person tonight. Your daughter is overcome with excitement because her dream is coming true.

That was only an example, but I think that we can all agree that those kind of thing can and do happen on a regular basis. You need to talk to your children about this as soon as possible. At the same time, explain to them that this kind of stuff happens regularly. Ask to see his or her blog. Find out what they are talking about because if they have a blog that provides any kind of personal information, they are subject to hundreds of internet stalkers just waiting to seize their next victim.

As stated previously, we used to keep our diaries under lock and key, so it would only be fair to assume that your children may feel the same way.

In cases like that, we recommend that you use a computer tracking software that has the ability to track all Myspace activity. Spector Pro is the only myspace blog tracking software available. You will know everything they have been saying on myspace.com. You will see every blog entry and know exactly when they did it.

Spector Pro also has a key word alert system that sends email notifications directly to you when a keyword has been used in any fashion. These alerts can be set up very easy and if anything from that example has happened, and you were to use the keyword (myspace), it may be enough time to save your child.
